3 days ago we had a very nice sunrise - even a bit spooky

il y a 3 jours, nous avons eu un très beau lever de soleil - même un peu effrayant

AUTUMNN ARRIVES ...

After a long hot summer autumn arrives - nothing as beautiful as autumn in the south of France. It is no longer as hot as in the summer and it is so pleasant that you can go out and visit beautiful places that the south of France has to offer for example:



Arles
Immerse yourself in the abundance of museums that cherish Arles. The city had long been home to Van Gogh, and you notice that. Between the Roman ruins and the well-preserved amphitheater you will find the Van Gogh Museum. Start your walk in the heart of the city, Place du Forum.





Avignon
In Avignon, the Palais des Papes, a beautiful castle and cathedral in the center of the city center, is surrounded by lush gardens. Avignon is a lively city, thanks to its university and many drinks and eateries. The Petit Palais is also worth a visit. During a city walk, let yourself be surprised by the numerous "tromp l'oeil’s" in the street scene.








Bonnieux
Are you ready for refined flavors amidst a beautiful decor, surely end up in the hospitable Bonnieux. The town, located on a hilltop of the Luberon, is known for its good wines and delicious lavender honey.








Camargue
The Camargue distinguishes itself from the rest of Provence due to its distinctive lifestyle. Only here are 'real cowboys', wild horses and bulls. For animals and nature lovers, a visit to Parc Ornithologique de Pont de Grau is a must, for culture lovers there is the 'Musée Camarguais'. 







Les Baux de Provence
This charming town is located near the old Roman site Glanum and is a great place for walking, shopping and eating. Van Gogh has lived here for a year. A small museum dedicated to the famous impressionist painter.
